Privacy Policy

At Quizzelo we respect your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data.

Quizzelo requires an account to play. When you sign up, we collect and store your name, email address, and either a hashed password (for email/password accounts) or your Google profile information (for Google sign-in accounts). Your quiz history, flashcards, ELO ratings, and subscription/billing status (which plan you are on, and, if you subscribe to a paid plan, your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers) are stored server-side and linked to your account so they persist across devices and sessions.

All calculator inputs and outputs are computed entirely in your browser. No financial data leaves your device.

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. We use two essential, httpOnly authentication cookies (an access token and a refresh token) to keep you signed in; they are required for the service to function and cannot be disabled while remaining logged in. If you play certain games (such as Daily Connections or the brain games) without signing in, your in-progress state and personal best scores are saved in your browser's local storage so they persist between visits on that device; this data stays on your device and is not sent to our servers unless you sign in and it is synced to your account.

We do not sell your data. We share limited data with the following third parties, only as needed to provide the service:

• Groq, our AI inference provider: when you use the AI chat assistant or the AI study pack generator, the message or source text you submit is sent to Groq to generate a response.
• Stripe: if you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe processes your payment and subscription billing, and you manage your subscription through Stripe's customer billing portal.
• Amazon Web Services (SES): we use Amazon Simple Email Service to send transactional email, such as account verification, password reset, and category-share invitations.
• Amazon Web Services (hosting) and Turso: our application and database run on AWS and Turso infrastructure, which process and store data on our behalf as part of running the service.

If you sign in with Google, your authentication is handled by Google and we receive your basic profile information (name, email, avatar) from them.

You can permanently delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Deleting your account removes your stored data and cancels any active paid subscription.

Our service is not intended for children under 13.

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page.
