Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions
ELO & Difficulty
Adapting to your skill
How does adaptive difficulty work?
Questions scale with your performance, like an ELO rating in chess. Answering tough questions correctly raises your rating more than easy ones, and the quiz keeps serving questions near your current level so practice stays challenging without being discouraging.
What is a category ELO?
Each quiz category tracks its own ELO rating, so you can see exactly where your strengths are - you might be rated highly in Biology while still climbing in World History.
Do I get explanations for answers?
Yes. Every answer is graded the moment you submit it, with a plain-language explanation of why it was right or wrong. If you are still unsure, you can chat with the AI about any question to understand it fully.
Flashcards & Spaced Repetition
Remembering what you study
How does spaced repetition work in Quizzelo?
After each flashcard you rate how well you remembered it - Again, Hard, or Good - and Quizzelo schedules the next review for right before you would otherwise forget it. Cards you know well come back less often; cards you struggle with come back sooner.
Can I make flashcards from my own notes?
Yes. You can build decks by hand, or paste your notes into the AI study pack generator and get a flashcard deck created for you in seconds.
AI Study Packs
Turn notes into practice material
What is an AI study pack?
Paste in your own notes or a textbook chapter, and Quizzelo generates a flashcard deck or a practice quiz from that material in seconds - so you can study your actual coursework, not just general knowledge.
Are AI study packs free?
AI study pack generation is part of the paid Quizzelo Plus plan, with a monthly generation quota that renews each month. The free plan covers adaptive quizzes, hand-built flashcards, and all the games.
